Saw that car at Fall Fling. It was nice to talk to you and meet your mom. Killer set up and a sweet ignition system. Too bad about the headers..... :poke:

    $450 chinese turbo and 600 plus HP(food 4 thought)

A good friend of mine put together a LQ4 6.0 engine with a single turbo for his old Ford truck. Thing runs like a striped ape.

    6-71 BB, gas mileage

Southernman, Very well said and thank you. I don't think I've ever had anyone explain the belt tension in a way I understood before. (Most answers I got were of the just cuz variety).

So, how about that first mod being a trailer hitch and a small trailer with a huge fuel tank on it?

    Whipplecharged LS7

Yep, works pretty good. It's amazing the power levels that are acheivable today. Just did a 66 Chevelle with an LS7 and a Magnuson intercooled supercharger and a 65 GTO with a Mast built 454 LSX and a Magnuson intercooled setup. Phenomonal beasts that are very drivable. (and my pics are still...

PVC on a turbo: you guys might like this

When I was at Famoso a couple years back for Pinks, there was a guy there with a Chevy truck with a PVC twin turbo setup. Tried to get a pic but never got next to it when I had my camera.

    How long until...

Wait! You can turn the monitor sideways? Crap, I've been setting it on the floor and laying down next to it. Kind of embarrassing when you wake up three hours later with the dog licking your ear.......

    no replacement for displacement????

If I remember correctly, isn't it the exhaust heat that spins the turbo? I would think that some backpressure would be of benefit. Or is it just that once the exhaust is thru the turbo you want to get it out as fast as possible?

    no replacement for displacement????

I'm really interested in this thread. I am wondering if for any given mod, engine for engine, wouldn't you be better starting off with a bigger displacement? Just asking with my haven't had coffee adled brain.

School me on supercharging a 360

My amigo Jerry finished up a blown 360 in a 33 Dodge sedan that was an absolute hoot to drive. I can hit him up on the cam specs, but I want to say the centerline was in the 110 range.

School me on supercharging a 360

Whoops, my bad, I should've stated static compression. For a street motor, go 8 to 1 or a little lower. On the cam, alot of folks sell "blower cams" that have a huge seperation angle. Try to keep it tighter. Talk to the guys at Hughes or Clay Smith Cams. One of my best friends builds quite a few...

School me on supercharging a 360

Did I misread that the OP was looking for some eye candy wow factor appeal also? Traditional roots style superchargers can be alot of fun on a street car and are very visually impressive. Littlefield, BDS, and Dyer are very good manufacturers of blowers and kits. (Kits? Sorry, why reinvent the...
