    Best intake/carb for 360

Hey Rusty, what is / how does that work? Sounds like something I might be able to afford. If it is used, old and possibly obsolete.

    Best intake/carb for 360

I agree 100% on the Edelbrock AVS carb series for a simple low - no maintenance for a mild engine. We have an 800 AVS Thunder and a Performer intake on a 99% stock 74 440. Put it on, set idle mixture, been running for 5 years very nice and clean. Only down side to Edelbrock carbs is they heat...

    Just rambling....

I agree, big cubes mild head engine = long life, mild natured, tall gears, massive torque, strong street motor. I had a mild head work, mild cam, 10-1 .030, 4bbl 455 olds with 2.29 gears in a 3200# car. It was outstanding from 25 mph and walked the dog up to 150. Just cruising along stroking...

    low compression

Sounds pretty fun. Low budget stock parts. I would run those early bb heads for more compression. I think they are clsed chamber.

I have talked to these guys thru email and phone. It was 6 months ago. I seem to remember it being fairly difficult to get ahold of someone. I must have called 3 or 4 times on separate days before I got a guy on the phone.. Email worked best and it took a few days to get a reply.. I get the...

    Interesting question, Ratio Effects?

This calculator is decent. I have used 20 or so varieties of these calculators. It would be preferable to manually select (key in) each gear ratio of your transmission. I see in the right side you can edit the numbers to skew your results. Here is also a good calculator that will generate...

    Interesting question, Ratio Effects?

I have been having this discussion with my self allot recently, if that counts. :) Higher driveshaft rpm / lower = adjust final drive ratio in trans to rear end ratio to yield total vehicle speed or same vehicle speed / same engine rpm (assuming same tire diameter) I have some theories about...
