It is excellent. If I can get 18" x9 or 20" x9 tuff *** looking rims and tires under my duster with the right backspacing, I will very much be doing just that.

I would put 20 on front and back rather than 20 rear / 18 front. All modern cars that have 18" or 20 " wheels have the same size rim front and back and usually the same size tire too.

Looking at these Marauder tires because they have them in 255/60R15 and appear to be potentially more stiff than the BFGs or Cobras. Anyone have experience with these? Supposed to have heavier duty for SUVs so I figure they would be stiffer sidewalls...

I think an 11" rim is physically 12" wide. The bead is 11" While your rims are on your car you can just measure off your existing rims (get your rim actual specs) to get your capable additional space. Here is a good program - website for tires and rims estimations...

Where's the riggin wheels at? I am starting to think they are so top secret that they only exist on a virtual server in hyperspace - circa 1987! Also, I am guessing it is BFG 275-75-15 all-terrains with 15x10" steel crager white spoke wheels and crager center caps with chrome lug nuts. Bitchen.

So if a person were looking at them, they could not see them. Only after a photochromic picture has been developed from a chemical exposure type film, can you see the actual rims. Otherwise it is just tire floating around a rotor?

Leaf springs: There are a few people just adding leafs to their existing main leaf from a dakota. I would get a few leafs off a 4x4 . There are threads on this site about it. If you have a jack a few C clamps and a bit of time you can just do your self up some springs for cheap and adjust...

Subscribed, thanks. Good project. Same boat I am in. Looking at approx 6 inch bs (18 x 9). Interested in identical wheels and tires 275/40r18 (for rotate and spare) all four corners.

Take rim off car, sand blast the rim to bare metal front and back and during that process, lightly do the tire at the same time. Then mask off the tire to rim nicely so paint does not get on the tire, wipe a judicious amount of lacquer thinner on the rim to degrease it and paint the rims up...
