Couldn't you just run complete C body tie rod setup? Outer, inner and tube? Maybe weld a bit of the slot up in the middle to eliminate distortion? I dunno. Good thread! Just asking.

What is your existing rear end gear ratio now? You could run a 64 - 65 4 speed with the 3.09 first gear and a tall rear end gear and maintain the ball and trunion setup. Any decent driveline shop can make you a slip shaft ball and trunion drive shaft. Heck, you may even be able to just use...

Dang that is great! I was considering carrying a stupid harbor freight aluminum "racing" floor jack cause of the weight and I hate bumper jacks. Now I can carry two of those and change my rear end on the side of the road if necessary and save space and weight in my trunk. Nice!

I think you are referring to topcoating the POR15 or Eastwood with something else. I was echoing the prior post regarding topcoating the epoxy primer with the Eastwood for a hard outer shell.
