    Strange Antennas (rear) 65 barracuda

Maybe it is a diversity antenna system which switches on the millisecond between which antenna is receiving a clearer signal with less multi-path distortion and buffers it all in a vacuum tube before pushing it thru that single speaker in the dash. Sure are cool looking.

    Cooling problem SOLVED

That is something important to remember. Thank you for sharing! Next time I get a new pump I am putting some rotational force on the nose and the impeller to see if it is on there.

Getting Rid of the Hood Torsion Springs on the Early A-Body

Very nice. Thanks for the video. I like that you took one old school technology and applied it to an even older school system.

    A body sports car handling

So much good info in this thread. I am also adding lots of Firm Feel and misc handling parts on my duster. I got weld in subframes from seymour_scamp. 1x3" tube leaves plenty of room between subframes and floor board for factory lines and is flush with rest of frame:

Couldn't you just run complete C body tie rod setup? Outer, inner and tube? Maybe weld a bit of the slot up in the middle to eliminate distortion? I dunno. Good thread! Just asking.

4 speed question on my 66 Valiant

Engine rpm torque band, driving habits or application of vehicle, gear ratios in trans vs rear end gear ratio would be the deciding factor of which a833 to get in my opinion.

    early a 5 speed converson

What is your existing rear end gear ratio now? You could run a 64 - 65 4 speed with the 3.09 first gear and a tall rear end gear and maintain the ball and trunion setup. Any decent driveline shop can make you a slip shaft ball and trunion drive shaft. Heck, you may even be able to just use...

    I don't like using a bumper jack

Dang that is great! I was considering carrying a stupid harbor freight aluminum "racing" floor jack cause of the weight and I hate bumper jacks. Now I can carry two of those and change my rear end on the side of the road if necessary and save space and weight in my trunk. Nice!

    POR15, undercoat, or sprayon bedliner?

I think you are referring to topcoating the POR15 or Eastwood with something else. I was echoing the prior post regarding topcoating the epoxy primer with the Eastwood for a hard outer shell.

    POR15, undercoat, or sprayon bedliner?

Nice, so Chassis Black must be the tough stuff. Would be nice to have a super durable coating on every damd thing and get by with out clumpy looking undercoating..

    POR15, undercoat, or sprayon bedliner?

Oh yea, interesting, so the epoxy is the bonding agent to the metal, then the eastwood over that for heavy durability.. there must be a time window to apply eastwood over epoxy primer for proper chemical adhesion if that is even possible.. hmm, I believe por15 says not to put their product over...

    POR15, undercoat, or sprayon bedliner?

I have heard from a really meticulous painter / hotrod fabricator friend, that por 15 tends to bond poorly to sand blasted metal and he does not use it but rather uses Spies Hecker epoxy / bare metal primer. I have seen Spies Hecker epoxy primer painted on the inside of engine blocks and remain...
