Check to see if there are any numbers/letters stamped on the inside or outside of the header flanges. That might provide a clue.

Nice. I wasconsidering the same muffler swap. How much seat of the pants difference was there if any? Could you tell? How much louder are they inside and outside the car?

For that level of power 1 7/8 may be a bit big. I would suggest the stepped TTI 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 if you select TTI. They support your power level and The smaller size are easier to first. Doug's very nice also.

Anyone try to install TTi's 2.5 exhaust with a stock A body width Dana 60 and the stock gas tank? Might start to get tight back there with the TTI kit.

Good feedback thank you. Did you try the TTI 2.5" adapter pipes from TTI for the shorties or did you make your own? I plan to run the big block torsion bars 0.89 vs. the stock V8 0.87 bars so not much of a difference.

I had a set like that in the early 1980's. They were made by a company called JR. 1 7/8 tube. I welded a collector flange on them and ran them on the street.

If you want extra protection and endurance you can order the pipes and mufflers ceramic coated. They offer exterior coating only or coated inside and out. Cist is around $218 extra.
