    Mancini Racing bypass bullhockey

I think they've been done for a long time. I had the 340 exhaust gasket on order for over a year. No answer to the phone, and no response to email. It's been disco'd for years, but they still show it available. 340 Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield - P2946105

    Random AC question

When the manufacturing ban on R-12 went into effect, the price on existing stocks got pretty high. I was working for Pennzoil Products Company and we started selling this for $30 a can. I sold a lot for a few years. A couple places that specialized in auto AC work bought it by the pallet...

Current 'best' aftermarket non ac heater core?

If a local radiator shop is still in business, they've got to be decent. They used to be everywhere, but with the cheap overseas stuff available it's been cheaper to throw away and buy new for quite a while. To still be surviving by fixing radiators, they must have their act together. The few...

Cley, do you have any issues with fuel percolation when you heat up your engine and underhood while running your A/C?

21st century parking meter, I think. Slick device used to confuse older folks to nail them with parking tickets.

Retro Fit Factory A/C into Original non-A/C 1968 Barracuda Convertible

There's more to it, but depending on the year of the engine and A/C components, it could be a good start. You want to get brackets and pulleys as a matched set to ensure everything lines up, and that sounds like what is on the engine. The compressor, clutch, brackets and pulleys are of course...

Retro Fit Factory A/C into Original non-A/C 1968 Barracuda Convertible

You might want to look into the dealer installed A/C systems. They were made to work with the non-A/C firewalls. The components show up for sale here on FABO and on Ebay and at swap meets. Consider placing a wanted to buy ad on FABO and the other FxBO sites.

    1968 AC equipped confusion

Horizontal section = 1.5" Site wouldn't allow me to post photo, said it was a security problem. There feels like there is a shallow tab in the slot in the circle. The image is taken looking up. The screw hole is .75" from the upper edge of the bracket. The tape is resting on the screw.

    1968 AC equipped confusion

I saw that. There's one out there with the actual, not superceded part number. $250 I think. I've never seen the vacuum can sold with the valve. I haven't found the part number for it yet either. Would it be in Cooling, Air Conditioning or Accessories (heater)? More investigation is needed.

    1968 AC equipped confusion

Funny story how I got that manual. My buddy who worked at the dealer parts department let me take it home over the weekend. My then girlfriend, now wife of 38 years, took it to her job at a copy store with one of those monster Xerox machines. It was a lot bigger job than she thought it would...

    1968 AC equipped confusion

Part number might help you in your search. I got an aftermarket one several years ago for a reasonable price, but they seem to have dried up for now. If you put part number 2607603 in an Ebay search, you'll get a notification when one comes available. Finding aftermarket equivalent part...

    What coolant to use?

Why shouldn't the OATs and HOATs be used in a system open to air? When explaining, please keep in mind I only got a C in chemistry because my little hottie of a lab partner carried me. I still smile when I think of her. <3
