    You can use front spring hanger shims to move the spring and rear back which is usually a benefit for tire clearance and in your case more rear angle on the shackles. Mancini makes them.

    Undercoating is thick and tends to be thick. I would think that should be the last thing to do after fuel line clips and brake lines are in and most all the other pieces like leaf spring hangers.     I ran a G/Gas 67 Camero 10.65 @ 130 mph in the early 70's with drum brakes. Hell every one ran drum brakes. Not my first choice now days, but it is doable.
