My tank still has a vent above the sending unit so I'm not sure if it is repop or not but looks original and has undercoating on it. It would also make a nice spot to run the return line to avoid vapor lock.

The non vented cars used the filler in this pic with the small metal line exitring the trunk floor at the seal. If yours doesn't have that or the nipple for it then you need a vented one.

Yes,you need to drop the tank. It's easiest if you take the 4 screws out that hold it to the 1/4 and the rubber pad that seal it to the floor and squirt some WD or PB Blaster at the seal and twist the filler neck out.

I just put a plug and hose clamp on mine but I may eventually use it as a return if/when I swap to electric pump.

No,climb under the car on the passenger side and have someone bounce and shake the car side to side. It's down under the trunk floor. That seal is to seal the tube to the trunk floor.

You access it from under the car,not inside the trunk. They could have also dented the tube during install/removal too.

The is a seal that seals the filler neck to the tank. It's either old or was damaged during install if he changed it with the tank.

More pics? Is it a 2 or 4dr? What state are you in? A fellow member (azmopar) has a 67 Valiant Signet 2dr commando car with a 4spd and it's a pilot car making it a 1 of 1.

That's a pretty rare car if it's factory. There is only a handful of 67 Valiant Commando cars. I only know of 4 that still exist

They said you need a crank signal but didn't mention what they did to use one. I run an LA motor with a std 904 so no provisions for sensors on my combo.

Edelbrock bought Carter and their designs

Carter has a different carb opening than a Holley. If your staying with the stock cleaner you will have to use a Carter/Edelbrock carb.

If you have a thermoquad get a Edelbrock carb. The Holley and Carter have 2 different openings

I always run metal where I can and as little rubber as possible. I just use it at the connections and use EFI hose. My system is 3/8 but I run a modified 340.

I think it's the same. The speedo changed in 72 to the Duster style which became standard in all Abodies from 72-up and so is the dash trim
