This is my opinion on it. if your looking for cheap power a small block will do just dandy. If you want a decent bit of power and get some decent gas mileage this is the swap. if your looking for something different this might also be a good swap but its costly.

Im pretty sure your only options are an alter-k-tion Kframe or some sort of rack and pinion setup. the one guy swapped his spindles around and used a rack from a dakota i think.

ive read that all the LA trannies bolt up but the one bolt doesent line up. i think people either drill it out for it to line up or dont use it. i think you need to modify your flywheel or get a specialy made on though.

i was just wondering what kind of mileage you could get with a new hemi in an A body. i mean hell if the 5.7 can get 25 highway in the challenger its gotta get at least 30 in a dart rite? Not to mention having near 400 hp =P~
