I've done the transco shift kits before can't remember if I had that Springs or not But it's been like 30 years since I've done one. Don't remember ever Banging into reverse like that. Now I'm doing my 65 Old style 904

So are you saying without this Spring you get better up ships but banging into reverse going from park. And you say when the converted drains so after it's OK

When I pulled mine apart it had no Springs top or bottom I guess it gives it a harder shift. This is definitely not a daily driver

The bolts screw in by hand no wrench all the way down may file slightly. the to front holes are thicker so they will require more filing

I think I might use the cast iron intake I thought was 360 does this number show it being a 1968 340 manifold. Seems to fit better than than the others. Slight angle on the bolt head with no egg shaped. The to front ones might need egg shape because the thick part of the manifold might make...

What about the gasket hanging over so far it blocks a portion of the port

This gasket set was for a 273. The intake on one of the heads seems to be a bit off center The gasket is barely catching the edge of the divider between the ports could this be something like casting shift. 273, 340 Both have 48ﾟ angle. 65 273 intake has 5/6 bolts not drilled at 90ﾟangle.
