I never did a Mopar seat, but waaaay back when I worked on old (64 1/2 - 73) Mustangs, I found that the job went easier if I could do them outside in a warm sun. Much more workable.

Paint pens are a great idea! I use them on my model railroad, I should’ve thought of them. I’m gonna order one up.

Well, the chrome is all gone where it shows. I'm going to repaint the black, use "chrome" spray for the original chrome (good enough, it's not a resto), and then apply the wood grain decals. I have a dash pad cap and I've resprayed the dash. I have more time than money.

I kinda thought it was paint. And it does look like the grain is molded in. I already have the decals. And besides, if I tried to reproduce the wood grain with paint, it would look like a bad acid trip. :rolleyes: There's what I picture before I start, and then there's what actually happens...

Around the perimeter of the cluster, there's a double stripe, that I think was chrome. It's just yellowed plastic now. Was it originally chrome? I'm going to paint it silver, if it was.

I have the dash out of the car to refurbish it. I see Classic has the instrument, heater control and glove box door sections for about $115. Are there other options? Is Classic's good stuff? Is $115 a typical price? It's not a resto, but I want something that looks good and will last.
