    I always thought any parts that have freon running through them aren't worth much used because you have to cap off all of the openings to prevent contamination. If you don't know who you're buying them from you have no idea if they were always covered.

    What happened to the new one? If you're doing all of that work to get the old one "working", just put a new one in. When it gets REALLY cold, you'll be glad you did.

    I took it to a shop that welds only aluminum. They soldered, or brazed it. I think they used this: http://www.lucasmilhaupt.com/en-US/about/newsdetail/9/ I didn't get it back in yet, but it passed the pressure test I gave it. I'll update with how it works out.

    The higher the psi rating, the higher the temp will go w/o boiling. But, your system has to be "up to snuff".

    The temp will be higher sitting and idling than when cruising. When sitting, the condensor gets hotter; when cruising, the air flow is cooling it.
