Rusty, I use chapstick on my gaskets. I just rub each gasket down both sides with chapstick and they come apart easily even after a few years of use. The blue gaskets help. Syleng1

So I just used the search feature and they typically sell used on this board for $290-$375 used. For that much money I would wait for an LD-340 intake all day long.

Okay but that intake is almost $500 new. LD-340s typically are like $300 used. What is the cost used going for? I’ve not priced them used. But I bet it is close.

Also pre emissions and looks better than the newer manifolds. Not as cool as an airgap but for the average street car that sees a strip now and then it’s a home run. I’ve got 2 of them. Maybe I’ll sell them when it is tie to buy a lake house. lol!

I would think a web site closer to pick ups or vintage dodge engines may be of more help than a bunch of MoPar A body guys. Leave it out here for a while- you may find someone who knows. I can not promise you that 100%. But if there is- they will help.

Airgap intake… yes you will need a choke or deal with rough start until it warms up. When you make modifications away from factory you have to expect different results. Also your distributor looks a tad advanced. Off a tooth on the drive ? Maybe the picture angle is throwing me off.

You do know you can buy a roll over valve for the tank vent. Basically it only opens after a certain pressure. If the valve goes upside down (like in a crash and the car rolls over) it closes off the vent, also some models will allow air into the tank but not out of the tank (again in extreme...

Side add: people are not all aware about this but with some filters (barrel with in and out port factory style) not all come with those short section of hose able to handle ethanol fuels. I typically use from my local Napa Gates Green stripe fuel hose. It handles the ethanol fuels long term...

Putting it after the pump is typical. In case of tank debris or fuel pump coming apart. It protects from both. The pump coming apart is rare but does happen. Putting a filter before the pump protects the pump from tank junk. But may cause other issues. A screen filter is best for that location.
