BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

Wesley’s tire (bleach) white tire cleaner. Old stuff works good. Most manufacturers are no longer offering white letters or white out lined tires any longer. What turns them brown… not keeping them clean I guess. Not sure if an owner thing or company thing. I’ve yet to see white walls, white...

    Tire finding trouble please help

The other issue when replacing the older car tires is the tubes. Anything newer does not do well with tubes internally unless they are designed to work with tubes. I had a friend from a tire shop who would put half a container of baby powder in each one to help lubricate the tubes and allow...

    Recognize these wheels?

Looks like a knock off from keystone. Try to search them. Popular on the van scene. I may be wrong but I had a set. That center is really bulky and thick.

    Goodyear polyglass tires

Coker re-pooped tires are crazy money for the “authentic look.” On the 66’ Barracuda I get asked to “smoked up.” All the time. They are Coker red line BFG’s every burn out is like $60 worth of rubber. “I tell them it will not spin the tires.” Lol- I can’t afford to.

    Red lines

I’ve got the BFG redlines from Coker tire. Basically a BFG with a 3/8” red stripe. Ride really good and sticky for those quick get-a-ways. Expensive as heck from my point of view. But they look good. Syleng1

215/60/15 vs 215/65/15 does anybody have picutes

This is the 215/60/15 Cooper Cobra on my 72 Demon. There is more room but I wanted tires I can rotate so it’s the same up front. The profile difference is minimal between the two sizes you mentioned. Sorry I don’t have any good shots of the rear width. It’s “okay” looking from behind, but I...

Who powder coats rims in NewEngland?

Thanks all! yea after more research I decided this is the son’s car and if he wants the factory 85 Daytona turbo Z wheels chrome- he can polish them. Chipping is the main reason plus issues with armor all spray on coating seems to have a softening and color change effect. Thanks for the info...

    rallye wheels and tires

    1) what do you have into them cost wise? 2)has the buyer given you an idea on what they can afford to pay? And does that fit what you want? 3) if I was selling complete SBP ralley wheels and tires - I’d be at $800.00 dependent on tread and tire condition. Rim and trim ring / center condition and...

    Wheel Date Code

Wheel and tire swaps at dealership level were normal. Especially on a car that did not have the right options to sell right away. plenty of cars rolled off the dealer lot different than how they were ordered.

    Is bigger tyres worth it?

Part of traction is driver related. I personally (when itchy) have spun the tires at the track all the way down. Less coffee and more suspension adjustments have gotten 225/60-15 coopers (old Cooper street tires) to grab better than cheap slicks. But nothing grabs better than hot and sweaty...
