A few drops of oil in the cylinder and re do the compression test will indicate rings or not. If you got gas in the oil, change that quicker than I can type with two thumbs. That will do more damage than you know. Stock style fuel pumps are cheap. Replace that if you even question it one bit...

Easy way to fix rocker arm breakage in a slant six- swap out /6 for a V8. Drop slant in Ocean for boat anchor. LMAO! I’m surprised nobody has said this yet! Lol!

I agree with Above. There is not much in the way of easy failure with a slant engine. Unless of course you change the geometry with exotic stuff. I’m not sure of the cam you’re running but I’ve seen some seriously large cams in a slant with minimal modifications. Maybe the mechanic is not...

All the above plus if you want try a jumper wire from the coil (+) to the battery (+) and see if you get a better spark. That voltage seems really low to me. Just remember if the car starts pull the jumper to shut off the car. Syleng1

Only oil if you are putting a double stitch in material like jeans or maybe a Carhart jacket. Lol!

Don’t over think it. Replace the air filter and drive it. See if it repeats. Also not all pcv are the same. The spring inside is different especially between manufactures. Try either a new unit or test your old one. Slants are a really dependable engine and simple to diagnose.

Yes- as RRR asked “how far off are you?” Tooth to tooth on the crank is a big jump and finer adjustment on the cam gear tooth to tooth and then even finer at the pin. You should be able to get down to 1 degree pretty easy with over the counter stuff.
