    Wow! You were told to build a 400? Back in the day 383 was a good engine to build, 440 was next and 426 was the best to build. 400’s were good to keep your boat from floating away. Lol! Good luck with the 383! Good engine.

    Yes- almost any truck parts store can get you a V band and a down pipe. The boot for the inlet is good.
