    Doesn't cost a thing to try it. I'd check the cylinders like the others say, prime it, and fire it up.

    I agree with all the above except what I am saying about market share. 318s are the untapped market. I have owned Mopars since the mid 80s and 318 get more press now then ever. I am looking at this as someone who is a business owner.

    I did all of the above on my 318 and still had problems. Ended up being the carb was to lean. I can sit in traffic no problem now.

    Thanks for the answers. I saw a 340 on craigslist with .20 over pistons, needing a rebuild. I've been thinking of finding a 340. I know 360s are cheaper and argueably make more power but i always wanted a 340 a body. Thanks again, Scott 72 Dart
