The new accelerator pump seal isn’t leather nor does it have the little coil expander inside the lip like the original. The new seal seems to be some sort of rubber or neoprene material but it isn’t a very tight fit.

I am also rebuilding a TQ-a 6139S. I’m new @ these carbs so I bought the SA how to book on Carter/Edelbrocks. I’m using a Walkerkit #15543. It is missing the round rubber gasket for the idle compensator valve. In fact, the parts breakdown in the rebuild kit does not even show the idle...
