    I hate BMW’s

Fortunately the 325 went away, but I still have a R1200gs here. I wish it would go away too. Takes a special tool just to add oil to it.

    I hate BMW’s

We had a 325i convertible that I wanted to swap a small block with a 5 speed into, with side pipes, roll bar, flared fenders and big ol wide tires and a blower sticking out of the hood. Wife wouldn’t let me dangit.

    I hate BMW’s

Gotta take this off, so I can remove that, and be able to fix something that is actually the problem. That and it seems like every fastener takes a different tool. Good machines if you don’t have to work on em.

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

I realize some think some of the stuff I tell about my life is BS. That said, I guess some people’s lives were so boring and mundane they couldn’t imagine anything else. Here’s another part of my past. I was Forman on a Ranch that my first Wife’s family owned. I rode horses and wore a 6 gun...

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

So familiar. One day Dad says “come on, I need your help” Short of it was this. We stopped at a machine supply and he bought 6 5 gallon buckets of 90wt oil. It was snowing and I was wondering what the hell? We pulled up to a property with an old road grader and he says “Time to find the drive...

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

Oh, so you are kind of new at it then.:D I started driving heavy equipment real early as we had 4x4’s, wheeled tractors, caterpillars and a road grader. We had property in the Sierras north of Tahoe, and I was the oldest, so my Dad involved me in everything. I know some of my life happenings...

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

I learned how to back trailers even just with mirrors by 10 years old, so it’s funny watching people that can’t try over and over without learning anything from the last fail. They just keep doing the same thing over and over and over. I watch those. Mostly just to see how bad some of them...

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

Sitting out front with my after breakfast coffee watching the neighbor down the street make dozens of tries at backing a trailer into his driveway. Cars backed up waiting for him to get out of the way. Could end up being his fourth DUI if the right car comes along. Jees, I need to go find...

    Warning about counterfeit parts

Ok, I see both addresses are apparently the ligit sites for Speedmaster. So Summit Racing is selling Chinese rip offs of a aftermarket parts manufacturer/seller in the US and putting the name of the real company on their parts. Then the real guy is getting support calls about the counterfeit...

    Warning about counterfeit parts

I just looked up both domain registration records and they are different. Speedmaster79.com is registered out of Tempe Arizona. Speedmaster.com is registered out of Germany.

    Warning about counterfeit parts

This is not Speedmaster. It’s Speedmaster79, but now I see why some think it is. The (79) makes all the difference here.

    Warning about counterfeit parts

Warning about Speedmaster79, sold by Summit Racing.(and probably others) This guy seems to be mostly Ford, but I don’t think it matters. What I think really matters is that Summit Racing sells it. A Chinese rip off with the actual US builders name on it.

    My favorite dirt

As some of you know, until recently I was an avid dirt biker. I rode a 500cc four stroke Honda, and this is a trail I have ridden many times. About 8 min in will give you a good idea of what this trail is really like. One of my favorites, and it definitely keeps you in shape. Click on “watch on...

Frickin ad blocker blocker sucks butt.

Didn’t say it never benefited me. The point was it looked like they were testing software that would stop access to the site if one was using an ad blocker. Covered the entire screen and said I had to disable the ad blocking software to access the site.

Frickin ad blocker blocker sucks butt.

Got home from a nice drive and a car show and went to check in here. I got a screen that covered up the entire page saying to turn off the ad blocker, and it wouldn’t go away until I did. Then every page was ads everywhere taking up a good portion of my screens along with large blank areas where...

Frickin ad blocker blocker sucks butt.

Without the ad blocker the phone screen is just trashed. And don’t bother telling me to go gold to solve it. Paying to not have the screen all F’d up rubs me the wrong way. And I get it. Nobody cares.

    Let’s talk CB radios

Basically the hookup is very simple, and they don’t seem to use more power than an FM radio. They run on your basic 12v. As far as distance, that can be quite a ways depending on conditions. Pretty much as far as a small town radio station. There is a thing called skip, where your signal...

    Trying to summon the motivation

Myself, as far as the cars go I watch the car shows. After a couple of those I am more motivated. As far as being capable, I am physically still ok. Mechanically, it was what I did for a living up until 25 years ago. I am/was certified ASE, ATRA (transmissions) stick and auto both, as well as...
