EQ Heads and stock rocker arms?

Yeah that is the part # I just got too. Maybe with a 9-ish cr they will survive longer than the ones in you 13 cr engine. Anyway, I hope so!

Thank you to all up date

Beautiful job! What are you running for a fuel pump / system?

I just bought these head gaskets myself. Have you heard anything negative about durability?

    99 5.9 magnum mini starter

I ran up against this too. Pain in the ***. I finally stopped looking for a pig tail and used that starter as a core to get a 98 Dakota starter (rebuilt) from NAPA with the regular post terminals. Then I upgraded the terminals to the front facing units for ease of installation, etc.

Anyone running 545 lift cam with EQ heads and stock bottom end?

Can help on this but interested in the answer to your question. I think someone will chime in. If not, call Magnum Mopar or Hughes Engines. I think either one will know the answer.

What manual transmissions were behind the magnums and do they fit into my car

Course it may be a moot point if we are talking about This charger.... Instead of this charger....

What manual transmissions were behind the magnums and do they fit into my car

Agree with Cuda69, just wondering how it will all work with the right hand drive car. The floor humps (US anyway) only work on the left hand side of the car and would make for a looong reach for a right handed drive car. And with the 833, the shift linkages have to be on that side of the...

Magnum Swap Checklist...... this is a long one.....

I don't think the driver's side magnum manifold works on A bodies. I did have a magnum manifold on the pass side originally but then switched to a 340 manifold when I bought the Accurate Exhaust Systems kit. The only thing I could find that works with the Magnum, 4 speed set up was the TTI...

Oh, was thinking to have block tanked, and checked out. Does that ruin cam bearings?

Magnum Swap Checklist...... this is a long one.....

Hey All, I am going to do a Magunm Swap into my 68 Val. Donor engine is a 360, out of a 1999 Ram. Looks clean on the inside, but I will disassemble and check it all. The car is currently a 273, 4 speed with an 8.75 rear. Gears are currently 2.90 but switching to 3.23 489 chunk I have or maybe...

    Carb vs. EFI cam

Jcb426, I spoke to James at Hughes today. He echoed what you said basically. He told me that the narrower lsa could be accounted for in the programming when I went efi with it. Cool. Now the question is what cam, but that is another thread...... I'm going to get all my spec's together and...

    Carb vs. EFI cam

Hey all, I am planning my magnum swap and had a question about cams for carb vs. efi motors. I was thinking about going carb to start and eventually switch to efi. I noticed that the LSA is different on the cams for these applications. Why the difference? Would a cam for one application severly...

    eq magnum head valve springs

I have a set of those springs on the heads I bought (all new and never run) that I will probably be.swapping out b/c I'm likely giong larger than .550 with the cam. If you'd be interested in them let me know. Best CE

Magnum head choices for my mild build

My 00 ram (bought new) currently has 240,000 on it and I'll bet the heads are cracked. I'll keep driving it for now. Like you I have a motor for my 5.9 swap but it has 110,000 on it and I'll more than likely do eq heads on it before installing it. But if I had a 2 mile motor, I'd drop that baby...

    10 Day Magnum Swap - '65 Dart 270

So was the 340 head used with the hi-po manifolds a different port size? I am just trying to figure out if my combo (1968 pass side 340 and 1971 dr side 340 exh mannies) will work on EQ heads? (without some sort of quasi-fix) If not I am terribly bummed as I went this route now (manifolds...

    10 Day Magnum Swap - '65 Dart 270

Okay I wasnt imagining things. It was over in the 64 Dart GT swap thread. His experience/post noted that: The manifolds will bolt right on but will have a 1/4 inch open spot underneath where there is a port mismatch. These are the 69 hipo manifolds I'm talking about. I made 14 gauge steel...

    10 Day Magnum Swap - '65 Dart 270

Are those 340 manifolds you are running? Do they bolt right up to the mag heads. I swear someone told me in a post the other day that the port sizes were different and they had to make an adaptor plate. Has that been your experience? Thanks! CE

64 Dart Gt EFI Magnum Swap

Sorry, I should have said, drivers side won't fit in "my" application. The rear exit magnum manifold works fine on the passenger side of my car with the 90 degree oil filter adaptor. The drivers side is impeded by all the clutch rods, zbar, and probably more. I cannot make a blanket statement...

64 Dart Gt EFI Magnum Swap

Well that sucks. Huh. Yeah a magnum ps manifold will work, but not the driver's side. I didn't want to use headers, looks like I'll have to make a fix like you did. I am running some honkin' thick copper gaskets. I'm sure they are thicker than 14 Ga. but ehhhhh. Not so sure I'd be happy with...

64 Dart Gt EFI Magnum Swap

Brewer's lists a set of repro 340 manifolds. is this a proprietary item for them, or are they buying from another vendor to resell? As a guy who hates headers I would think this would be a great product, but what do I know!!!! Lol.

64 Dart Gt EFI Magnum Swap

I intend to use my 340 manifolds on my 5.9 magnum. Can you explain what the adaptors you made consisted of. I thought the manifolds would bolt right up. Is this incorrect? Thanks CE
