If someone doesn't answer here the guys at slantsix.org can help you out. I remember that taking a 10 th of an inch off the bloc is not uncommon. But I also seem to remember there is only so much meat on the head to use up. I think I have that right.

This past weekend we had the bi-annual slant six race at Mason Dixon speedway in western MD. Good times and good dudes. Everything from stock to turbo'ed slants. I love 'em.

Just did this on my 68 w/ a 273. If you go this route "project creep" will likely catch up with you. I was going to d a re-seal (complete gasket set) and freeze plugs. Ended up doing all that aaaaand an oil pump, timing gears (were a mess) had to pull the crank to get the top half of the rear...
