Sorry for the late response, but this is how i did it, very clean and not very noticeable. The other end of the shock is mounted in the kick well behind the lower panel.

You can use all the 360 stuff for your alt, use a 360 car pan works just fine, if your car is a V8 car, the hooker headers are horrible in my opinion, i have them on my cuda, i run the TTI in my 65 Signet, tight fit but they work good and you can access the bolts and oil filter.
