Update, not the best pictures, but the project is moving along. figured id post just to keep fairly current with the progress. Interior is mostly complete less the headliner, door panels, seats, seatbelts, front and rear glass. Motor is at the machine shop moving along, but no trans yet. This...

    72 Demon

I haven't dove into much research on this yet, but I've seen conflicting answers. Id say it looks bare without a "Demon 340" decal, but maybe the place I purchased the decals led me to believe nothing goes on the tail. I've got plenty of time, so opinions and research are welcome.

Now that the car is back and the decals installed, the 72 340 Demons "did not" have the 340 and devil on the rear panel???????? I'm just use to seeing it there and figured I better ask now.

Got the car back late last week. Turned out very nice. I've chosen Black with white top, white interior, and no hood scoop or rear spoiler for now.

    72 Demon

my biggest regret at this point is just not buying a real 340. Ive always wanted a 71/72 duster/demon 340 and when I saw this for sale I got a little excited. It will be nice, but a clone. When I was 15,about 1983/84 my brother in law took me to look at a 72 340 demon, auto, red with black...

Starting another Demon thread. this one started life as a TB3 blue, white vinyl top, slant 6 auto with air, power steering, and power brakes. The plan is to go340 auto, black with a white vinyl top, white interior and white stripes, manual steering and brakes. It was just blasted and is very...

What Color to Paint Demon? White or Blue?

This is my current project, originally TB3 with a white top and blue interior. some point in its life it was repainted at Earl Scheib's and had a black top installed. Its at the body shop now and has just been blasted. I'm a purist and don't change original colors, BUT in this case I just cant...

    72 demon 340 resto

Guys, im throwing my hat in the ring here. I picked up a /6 almost two years ago and just got it to the body shop this week. Long story short, I went the clone route, (mistake) but what the hell. I've collected a pile of 340 stuff, from correct bucket seats, sport mirrors, hood scoop, block...

    70 Swinger 340

Thank you, I haven't really touched the car in the last year after taking on a couple other projects. (71 R/T Charger 440 and 68 R/T Charger Hemi). I have the original short block sleeved and assembled, I just need to finish it out and get it swapped out. Also I've pulled off the radial tires...

No updates really. I haven't had the car uncovered for some time now. Ive been concentrating on the 71 R/T charger and 68 Hemi R/T Charger.

Nice score on the wheel covers, those will look perfect. I'm currently trying to restore a set for a 68 Charger. NOS would have been the easy way to go. where did you find yours?

wow, nice. The trim I found was from a Dart sedan I believe and it had to be shortened a bit to make work.

I had to go back with the black vinyl top on the white car. I do like the look of a vinyl top on anything really.

    1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

Yes, that's a 340 K-member as you described. Nice job,i just had to do some creative welding on a non 340 part to make it look as close as possible to yours. Its hard to re-create the horse shoe supports around the lower control arm mounts, but mines close.

not really any other than the ones ive posted here before. These still have the radial tires. looks much better now with the bias plies

    1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

Mine is pretty well finished. I've had it to the strip and ran a high 13 with it on radial tires. since then I've gone back to the reproduction bias plies, I am just not into the radial look these days. Also I had the original block rebuilt, It came with the purchase, but had a hole in one...

    1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

My car had scars from the drive shaft hitting the floor in what I would guess as a 7260 u-joint failure. I don't think that is what caused the floor support welds to break in it self, but im sure it was all part of the big picture. my floor wasn't pounded up from the snubber like yours. Im...

    1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

Interesting pics of the pinion snubber area and the back seat supports. The 70 40-speed swinger I have had what looked like scars from a rear u-joint failure and also had the back seat support broken off the floor. The whole horseshoe bracket needed to be re welded down. These A body 4 speeds...
