    More than meets the eye

I love old Valiant wagons, good luck with this one. Filling all those holes will be quite a challenge.

    5.9 EFI Swap

I'm subcribing to this thread, because if anyone has successfully adapted the factory EFI controller and wiring to work in an older vehicle, Im interested.

This will be the last ground up car for me.

Wow, you guys sound old! I turned 57 last week and over the weekend I painted the tub on my 47 Jeep. If all goes well, what started out as an electrical repair, will be running by Labor Day. When that's done, my Duster needs a re-do and I have to assemble the 440 for my 75 W200 and get it...

    Help

In my experience (had it happen on 3 different cars over the years), the reason for many heat related failures in Mopar electronic ignitions is the pick up in the distributor. When overheats the ignition dies, but can usually be re-started once it cools down. Since it's inside the distributor...

    Question on a motor

I have some experience with converting these engines to carb and running standard LA flat tappet cams. you will need to get a fuel pump eccentric and the proper bolt and washer for the cam. I've always used the lifters that came with the cam and stock length push rods; the roller push rods are...

    1966 Valiant...should I part or fix it?

In taking my leave of this thread, I am quoting my original post. Allow me to point out that it is in the form of a question and not as someone seems to think, an ACCUSATION. Furthermore, it was an attempt at levity. To those who didn't understand that, I apologize.

    1966 Valiant...should I part or fix it?

Is it something in the water in North Carolina or are you always so hostile? At no time have I meant to criticize or impugn anyone on this thread or the site as a whole. If you did take the time to read all of the other thread, as I did, then you know that in that case, I was in favor of...

    1966 Valiant...should I part or fix it?

See Bluedart's Mopar Cop Car thread, under general discussions. I don't want anybody getting hurt feelings; I just think that parting an old car, any old car, is something that should be thought through completely before a decision is made. One man's "parts car" is another man's dream project...

    1966 Valiant...should I part or fix it?

I don't want to start anything here, but is this the same bunch of guys who were so passionate about the need to save a ratty 67 Fury cop car on another thread?

    When is a 63 not a 63?

62 was also the 1st year for a B body Dart, the 61 was a full size (C body ?).

    Is it rare Poly 318?

http://www.moparts.org/Tech/tech/pages/v8power.html check this link for all you need to know about polys; that and the fact that you'll play hell putting one in an A body. The abody is 1 of the reasons the LA was made and the Poly is the reason for the LA's weird lifter angle.

    What motor? Help me!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't God already give you one belly button; why put another one in your car? There are so many cool and powerful Mopar engines to choose from, don't ruin your car.
