What safe protectant to use on dash pads....

I used to like the old standby Armor All until I used too much on my old Challenger. It turned the plastic chalky. Subscribed here for new ideas too.

    Dash completed (pics)

The dash looks great! So does the rest of the car. I've been following along since I joined. Nice work.

    Rallye Dash Resto

Yeah, anybody interested need to call them to see EXACTLY what's offered. Their 69 Barracuda pictured taillights is uncorrect I just got the red lenses. The bezel inside the lens is extra $, it's shown in the lens.

    Rallye Dash Resto

These are expensive, but are direct replacements. Pictures look great. http://moparplus.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=39&products_id=478 I've ordered some parts from them. So far the quality has been good. I do use my C. C. just in case. I ASSUME it is complete.

    Fastback cargo area

Both of mine had steel, painted textured panels. My current car has no indication of carpet ever on the side panels. Both cargo areas had the trim for, and had carpet in the rest of the cargo area. I was not the original owner of either, however. I hope we get to the bottom of what is...

    Fastback cargo area

I've had 2 fastbacks, both had carpeting in the cargo area, with vinyl side panels. Adam is right about the custom interior. I also like the looks of the carpet on the side panels, btw.

    Interior question (pics)

Thanks so much, that will be a big help to others! My car is in the shop, so I was trying to go by memory (which seems lacking.lol.) Very nice explanation with pictures.

    Interior question (pics)

Sorry, but I'm still convinced your car should have the cargo area carpeted. Looking at the carpeted seat back makes me lean that way. It makes no sense to me to have the seatback carpeted & not the rest of the cargo area. Previous owners may have replaced that plywood, cleaned the cargo area...

It's about 3/4 of an inch thick. Hope that helps.

    Interior question (pics)

That's the first I heard of a carpet delete option. I'm sure it is true though. In your case I can't see why the fold down seat back would be carpeted, and not the rest of the cargo area. If the plywood looks original with no signs of screw holes in it, you may have the proper answer...

    Interior question (pics)

    1. The outer trim pieces are 3 of them, mine are black steel. They cover the edges of the plywood & overlap the carpet. Not sure what else you could use there. 2. The plywood & cargo area floor are two separate pieces. The carpet sits flush with the side panels on mine. Tucking it between...

    Interior question (pics)

I just purchased a roll of black car carpet from an auto parts store. I did the whole cargo area with it. Mine had faded to brown from the sunlight since this area receives the most sunlight. It was easy to do. I just used the old pieces to trace on the new carpet. It cost me around 50$. Oh...

    armor all question

I used Armor all from the bottle, I put a lot on. Bad mistake, it turned the trim plastic all chalky. So I think it's fine if you don't overdo it like I did, sometimes more is not better. The wipes sound like a better idea if you're gonna use it.
