    70 Maverick came home

One of those silver and black with red stripe pinto wagons is on my list of cars I'd have if they came my way. I'd be tempted to bolt on turbo the 2.3. Of course that's the "grail" of pintos. I believe there is more than one version, though.

    70 Maverick came home

Other than exploding...the pinto was not a terrible car. MUCH better than the competition's vega. More interior room, smaller exterior size, and mechanically more sound in general (including rack and pinion steering) especially the 2.3 vs the gm "iron duke" (again, other than that exploding...

Plymouth Valiant model car or model kit

73/74 Duster was made but is hard to find. That dirt track car or the later LA Dart kit could be the back window/C pillar source. Rear bumper will be "fun" but is doable, however- The rear wheel openings will be the hard part. I tried that on a 67 Charger to Coronet conversion. It took months...

Just googled- about 300 maverick aftermarket wagon conversions were made in Brazil, in 1978/79.

The Beaver Hole Hardwood Company Begins

Movin' along. I haven't touched my setup for years. I realized I missed a crucial issue with my helix plan and will need to bore through the wall and run the exit through the pantry! How TF did I miss that? Kind of took the wind out of that project's sails.

The Beaver Hole Hardwood Company Begins

Yes, I know but I'm familiiar with "Jimmy Flintstone" from his resin 1/25 car body kits. Just wondering if it's the same guy. Can't be too many Jimmy Flintstones in the cottage scale model manufacturing community.

The Beaver Hole Hardwood Company Begins

Not too many diesels around in the 1930's. One off GE/IR boxcabs maybe. IIRC the first SW-1 was 1938.

The Beaver Hole Hardwood Company Begins

You got 1930's trailers? There's a surprising amount of "adult" stuff available for MRR, especially European stuff.

The Beaver Hole Hardwood Company Begins

What's the operational scheme? I assume logs are the primary cargo. Will you be manipulating "live" loads (IE moving scale logs on and off of the cars). I see it is "point to point", a much talked about design goal in the MRR press. However, have you considered a lift out, fold down, or...

Dont payy stupid prices for that demon kit.

Great. I'll need two. One to build and one for donor parts to convert an LA Dart into a stock Dart.

Just Got This at Our Local Target

Too bad that truck has oddly styled doors and a generic grill. I bet they use that casting to haul other brand cars. I really wanted their mid 60's lifted 4x4 pickup until I saw the grill. ...and why TH did they redesign the doors on their van? Passed on that one, too. Sorry, rant over. OK...

Budweiser flying fish worth that much?

Don't see it mentioned but- You can't sell "toys" with beer or cigarette ads anymore. IIRC that changed around 2005-ish. I got the last Rusty Wallace/Brad Keselowski 1/64 scale cars with Miller Lite on them before the ban.

That 65 IIRC is an "Autoworld" product. I got one back when they were still $5.99. The last one of those I saw was almost $12 I believe.
