    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

Does it run OK if you give it moderate throttle? IAS solenoid is a known wear item about this age. If you still have the OEM injection- back of the throttle body. Causes extremely rough idle or stalling at idle but part throttle makes it run good or at least stay running. $20 part and 15 min...

Are these the wrong swap mounts for a Magnum?

Looks like the "classic" 318 vs 360 mount issue.

Mopar friends, I need your assistance.

Sorry, I meant IAC motor- on the back top of the throttle body. Causes the same symptoms as flooded- need to hold gas to floor to start and then feather to keep running. Still a known issue and cheap and easy.

Mopar friends, I need your assistance.

TPS sensor is a known issue. If it's never been replaced- replace it. They are cheap and easy to replace.

Nice. I normally don't care for non stock paint on an engine, but that looks cool.

    Junkyard Magnum Motor Finds

1990 360 is not a Magnum. But a 360 LA roller is a cool find.

    Junkyard Magnum Motor Finds

Look on your local craigslist for Dakotas, Rams and Durangos that have bad transmissions. Usually several here for under 1K. Pull the complete engine and everything that goes with it, part the easy stuff, then get your $100 from the scrapper.

stock 5.2 Magnum valve springs MAX LIFT

The consensus my research indicated was .520 before machine work to the guides. Agree on changing springs.

Magnum swap oil and water gauges with stock EFI.

That's the highest point in the system and will be the first place not to have liquid, rendering the sender ineffective if it gets hot and loses water.

    318 Magnum first fire...timing?

The issue with not driving them in far enough is that it creates a ledge for crud to settle on and can cause premature corrosion of the bottom of the plug. Much more of an issue with steel plugs, though.

    318 Magnum first fire...timing?

...and in all my years I've never had a properly seated deep brass plug need any sealant unless the hole was gouged.

    318 Magnum first fire...timing?

Those look like the good, deep brass freeze plugs, although they don't look seated all the way to the edge of the chamfer. Agree they may need a heat cycle to set.

Cam options for a 380hp 360 crate motor

I think that's the one that I have. Slightly less .050 duration than the 380 cam but slightly more lift (.517 at 1.6) I'm hoping the duration decrease will bring back some of the low end that the 380HP cam gives up as well as help the MPG. The added lift will hopefully compensate for some of...

Cam options for a 380hp 360 crate motor

Note that the links for Lunati's cams don't work anymore and you can't even find the cam cards on their site (!?) IIRC one of their HR cams was slightly more lift at 1.6 but slightly less duration at .050 than the factory 380 HP cam.

360 Magnum Build w/ V Belt Configuration Question

Just a foot note but the bypass hose is a PITA and wants to kink on a Magnum engine with a factory intake as well.

    Magnum Swap with Carb

I pull trailers and cars/trucks on a dolly with my stock (except for cat back duals and K&N filter) 5.9 2000 Dakota R/T. No problem. I've pulled two full size D100 trucks across the county with it.

    5.9L Magnum build with questions

Did it run before being torn apart? I'd have been tempted to leave it alone. 114,000 is between "broken in" and "seasoned" on a Magnum. Mine runs just as good at 167,000 as it did when I bought it at 30,000. Lunati has a roller cam with a 1.6 rocker ratio lift of .517 Everything I've read...

5.9 slt plus Durango donor for 74 duster

mine's been over 5.5K a few times. kinda easy with the 3.92 rear and some ahem, traction issues inherent with a truck ...and with those gears it moves my 4200# Dakota pretty well, even with 55 series tires on 17" wheels. Also still alive and strong as the day I bought it at 167,000 miles.

5.9 slt plus Durango donor for 74 duster

magnumswaps.com has pretty much every piece of info you need and can be used to calculate a parts and price list Since you already have a manual trans, I'd consider an 833OD. They can be had a lot cheaper than a "regular" 833 and have roughly the same gear splits as the 3 speed. The OD will...
