you need a dial indicator and a magnetic base to measure it. set it up on a cam lobe and gently pry the cam one way and set the indicator to zero then pry the other way. note the reading.

some of the older aluminum water pump housings had a problem with the interior holes being too small.

you drill into the main oil galleries then tread and plug the. the heads get full time oiling from the main gallery. the cam bearing doesn't share any oil. you then turn the bearing so the holes don't line up to the head oiling passages.

my suggestion is to modifly your oiling system to the rocker gear so as that cam bearing doesn't have to supply oil to the heads.

my suggestion is to completely disassemble it. power wash it with soap, blow dry out really good and wipe cylinder off with trans fluid until clean.

no big deal.

get a moly paste, say from isky cams, and brush a lot of it on the lubes and lifter bottoms. that bottle of stuff from mopar goes in the oil not on the cam.

cut the bolt tab off and ty-rap it to the brake line, works great.

advance the cam 4-6 degrees and relash it to .018".

i reckon you better have a really good regulator to get it down to 6psi or so.

JW transmissions in florida has the adaptor to the 518 to BBM. after that you need a lighted rocker switch up were you can see to put in OD. oh, mileage and performance is an oxymoron.
