    Can this mirror be refurbished?

The E P A does not like chrome plating companys. Prices are only going to go up, as more of these places throw in the towel, cause they can't afford the cost to stay in business under the E P A rules. ole man Dave

Found source for electric trunk release for $40

I bought mine from a member here. All I had to do was run a wire from a new power source center I installed, I bought a momentary switch, ran the new wire, from the new source to the switch, and from the switch to the elec latch. I ran the wire down driver kick panel, and along the drivers side...

Advice needed on how to clean/polish old ugly chrome bumpers

I use OOO, and OOOO steel wool on chrome. You can also use a lite oil, or something like WD-40 with the wool. It works good for me. It wont remove pits, or scratches. It takes a little elbow grees, and time. I've even used it on chrome plated plastic on newer vehicles, but you have to take it...

    gas strut trunk prop

Good fix, for the trunk. I went another way with my 66 B-Cuda trunk. I just put new springs in the original trunk rod, along with my elec trunk popper, the trunk pops open, and stays up nice. I guess if you dont have an original prop rod the gas charge is the way to go. Mine had one. Dave

    Putting emblems on

I do what Lee Robinson says. I use 3-M (only) double sided trim tape. It does not come off/loose in heat of the day, like cheaper versions of the stuff. You also don't have to worry about chipping the paint in the hole, as you do when using the studs, with nuts. Dave

You can use "3M" double sided auto trim tape. Might have to trim off studs tho. I install a Formula "S" badge on the tail gate of all my Dodge Ram trucks, and it never falls off. Dave

    Body experts. Advice?

I wouldn't use POR-15 on anything. POR=Peels off Regularly It's hard to beat Epoxy primer, after you have finished your body work. Its not that much difference in price either. Dave

Early A ext door handles....painted??? How to remove?

Just get a couple spray cans of Aircraft Stripper, put them in a plastic container, and spray them down real good, let them soak. Then scrub with a good bristle brush, and rinse with water, repeat as needed. Paint will come right off. Remove your rubber seals/gaskets first if they are stuck...

67 Cuda FB window rubber & trim

The trim pics in post # 11 are not 67. They are most likley 68, and 69. 67 had one big rubber gasket that went all around the window, and a chrome locking strip to hold it all together. It also had two little sqaure corners for the lower corners. I think if you look on E-Bay you will find the...

Remove your rear seat, so you can get at the rear panel between the trunk, and seat. Get some sharp skinny knives, or something similar, and try to move the locks down, at the top. You can usually get those molded 90* push on replacement wire assys, from the help section of Advance Auto, or any good auto parts store.
