    this guy knows what he is talking about....everything he said is true.....you have the wrong master cylinder on there if you have disc fronts and drum rears.....and vacuum line should be off intake manifold....not carb....and also should be at least be 10 or higher in order for a power booster...

    Yes that is how you check this.....Once the pedal is released the wheel should spin free immediately......If it doesn't the rubber hoses are bad...

    sounds like your rubber brake hoses may need to be changed....They deteriorate over time on the inside and actually swell when you apply the brakes.....then because of the swelling the fluid does not return properly and the brakes actually stay applied some....I would change all three if I was...

    well I would wait until I measured them to be sure if it was me.....So All we can do is guess....What rear is in it? 7-1/4 8-1/4 8-3/4 ? If it has a slant six in it I am guessing it has a 7-1/4 inch rear in it which would have 9 inch, I think

    16 psi is plenty of vacuum to run the booster...nothing wrong with length or type of hose......Sounds like you have other problems with brakes....Did you bleed the entire brake system after you changed over to the new style brakes? You need to get all the air out....start on RR then got to LR...

    Just put one in like krazykuda said...one with big port straight up and run it to the vacuum booster.....That is the best place with the greatest amount of vacuum you can get.....With your "standard cam" as you say it will have plenty of vacuum...probably around 19-21....The problem with low...

    No that is your PCV valve ....DO NOT CONNECT THERE! leave that hooked up how it is.....Just put a single large hose fitting in the manifold where krazykuda is telling you and connect the hose to the power booster

    That is correct for 73 up ....72 and earlier were flatter and bigger diameter....they actually look like dinner plate size

    I know its confusing.....many aftermarket master cylinders don't contain residual valves like the factory ones did...Also, some people say you only need them if the MC reservoir is below the floor which would allow bleed back from the higher calipers....but it won't hurt to have them on...
