I have heard the quality of the stage 5 heads are very good and flow big right out of the box. No junk.

I use pipe max to design my exhaust layouts. It recommends 3.5"+ for my combo, but the 3.5" is big and hanges low under the car. Just wanted to clean it up. Guess i'm stuck with it. Oval tubing is way too expensive.

Anyone here ever do the conversion with these heads on a lo deck block in an A body? Curious to the pros ans cons. Last i checked the heads with all the hardware was about $6500. You still need the hemi pistons and headers to fit. I would like to do this some day, but not sure its worth...

Yes. My exhaust length is short at 36" using an oval race muffle simular to borla.

I have always liked this site, but moparts was my home for yrs. Alot of the good knowledgable guys over there have left or were chased out. Think its time for me to move on as well.

ok, i have 2" header with 3.5 collector and pipe. Thinking about reducing to 3" exhaust pipe. Do you lock your timing or use a curve? Whats your max timing you found to work best? Thanks again and nice ride.

Very nicely tuned and clean. I think those 470's are snappier than the 511's. Very simular build to mine, except i used a Molnar 4.25 stroke crank with MW victors and a 270@50 SFT. Whats the lobe sep on the cam? Whats the combo on the exhaust? Sounds killer.
