A few more of the 383. If I can get in there, the 8.75 is coming out for a 7.25 roller rear end while the 8.75 is rebuilt. If I can get that done this weekend, when I get back from Spokane on Tuesday, I'll haul the rear to the shop, and the motor to the machine shop.

Correct. One bent push rod, and the lifter. I found one flat lobe on the cam ( A Crower ) and a couple other lobes that were going flat. I didn't know you had to air up camshafts...:wtf: Two cylinders are rusty, but I was able to clean them out enough to get the pistons out. The stroker kit...

New direction I picked up a core 383 a while back. I will pick up Edelbrock heads and a rocker arm set this weekend. So, stroker 383 it is. I have the schumacher kit already, and the oil pan I was planning on using for the 400 in my old Duster, so... WHY NOT?!? j

Wait...Edelbrock is offering a supercharger for the Pentastar? I'd like one for my Challenger GT please :D j

Resurrecting this thread, to bring it up to speed. Eight years ago, we moved to Sultan WA. Now, we are a bout a month away from a new house and a shop big enough to properly work on the Demon. This winter, with my dad's equipment form his hanger, I'll be able to get some work done. I picked up...

For the near future, make it a daily driver. New tires, exhaust, and brakes, and a tuneup. I may pick up a set of Rallye wheels for it. If the step son passes his driving test, I think this could be a good first car for him. North Central Washington. It was a 5 1/2 hour drive from Lynnwood...

I think we will keep her... Slant 6, auto, PS, manual brakes. Runs and drives. Should be a fun round tge town car. j

Big changes they are a happanin! I moved out of my house in Everett, losing my garage in the process, and out to the country. Went to a small dealer in Arlington tonight and traded my 98 Dakota Sport for a 97 Ram 3500 Dually with the Cummins. MMM...Cummins... So, the 5.9 that was slated...

Got the 8.75 out of the car. Next week, weather permitting, I'll pull the 8.75 out of the Duster, swap in the 3.91 Sure Grip third member, clean it up, rebuild the rear brakes, and put it in the Demon. Is there any obvious signs that this is an A-Body 8.75, maybe even original, or no? j

Unless I can talk SWMBO into letting me get another 5.9 Magnum ( Saw one on CL for $400 with a cracked block, and another 5.9 mag block for $100) I'm putting the 318 from my Dakota in the Demon after I get it rebuilt. Thanks for the thought tho :) j

So, do I swap in power steering, or do I bypass the PS on the 5.2 Magnum? Also, it seems the LA oil pan and pickup will work on the magnum motor, so I will need to find that. I'm trying to get the GF to let me get another 5.9 magnum for obvious reasons, but so far, no luck. Next clear day...

Picked up three console bodies today. With what I have, I can now cobble together a console for the Demon. With a little fabrication, I should be able to make two...one for my Duster too :D Will add pix tomorrow... j

Traded a 3.91 Sure Grip third member for my spare 400 motor. The pieces are falling into place for the Demon...slowly but surely :D j

??? How does it have anything to do with emissions? Strangest part is the "sensor" is INSIDE the car. Hopefully putting the late model 318 with fuel injection and an OD trans will negate the need for such crap... j
