opinions wanted: letters out or in

I personally like white letters on the outside, unfortunately I didn't have that option with the tires I have now...

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

With the bullitt rims, do those require the bulge seat lugnuts? Aren't tapered only for steel wheels?

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

I just got my wheels and tires mounted today, looks like a 5/16" spacer is plenty for the rear. I am running 225/50/R17. Still gotta get the car off the jacks to see how the fronts will fit, seems like you can go pretty damn wide in the back before hitting the lip of the rear quarter!

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

I got 1/8" spacers, the center cap will clear. I did a dry fit, I hope I can get them mounted this weekend!

    This tire vs. this tire...

So what would you all say is the widest I could get away w/ stock everything except the disc's on the rear?

    Non-Directional/Directional/Assymetric?

Okay, I found a tire that I like. I'm looking at the specs and apparently they are non-directional AND asymmetric...so this means that looking at the car straight on, the passenger side tires will always look different from the drivers side? Anyone have pics of asymmetric/non-directional tires...

    This tire vs. this tire...

I always thought that 225 would be too wide for the front? I'd also need to get wheel spacers for the back, didn't know it would be capable of fitting that wide a tire

    This tire vs. this tire...

I did do a major suspension upgrade which is why I'm looking for a good tire to make it worth it

    This tire vs. this tire...

Sorry for the lack of info, the Dunlops are $20 more, and is an extreme performance summer tire, the Yokohama's are a ultra high performance summer tire, they will be put on my Dart for street and occasional track use

!4" Rallye rims 11" drum brakes

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you need 15" wheels to run those discs?

    17s on a 72

yeah, what I'm worried about is the tire bulging too much where it would start to rub in the back, I guess I'm just gunna have to go for it and see what happens :/ I'm hoping whatever happens its not going to be a project to play around with clearance issues.

    17s on a 72

Thought 225/45 were smaller in dia? 225 is the width? and I thought 45 was the height of the tire? 225/45 is 25" tall on a 7.5" deep wheel so I thought it would provide better clearance. Was lookin at Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec's but I'm torn on what to get for tires!

    17s on a 72

yep, got those, they were cheap! if I go with 225/45-17 are those gunna give me significant clearance in the front?
  20. ckj688

    17s on a 72

I just ordered some of those Bullitt wheels with the 5.72 backspacing, I'm gunna cross my fingers with those! I guess I need to get a 1/8 spacer in order to not have to grind the centers?

    17s on a 72

4.5 backspacing is okay with an 8 inch deep wheel?

NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 Tire (245/45-17)

    Anyone know any decent...

Why couldn't you? With 4.25" backspace it should fit (so I was told)
  25. ckj688

    Anyone know any decent...

yeah, have the catalog here, seems they have a lot of 17X8's, not many Torq Thrust styled 17X7
  26. ckj688

    Anyone know any decent...

LOVE THOSE WHEELS! It seems the 17X7 only comes in 4.25" backspacing? I wonder if I could get away w/ that?
  27. ckj688

    Anyone know any decent...

wheels that are 17X7 with 4.5" backspacing? I really like the Torq Thrust II's but they seem to only come with 4" backspacing, any suggestions are appreciated!!!
