What do you have for a radiator? How does it handle the freeway? C

You are running a 26" radiator? The new aluminum radiator would double, or nearly so, your cooling capacity of the radiator if the tubes are increased from 1/2" to 1". That would have to help. C

I checked my '72 this evening. It only has 2 lines thru the firewall and is set up like straightlinespeed has drawn out. C

When I swapped out for an aftermarket radiator I was able to get the correct upper & lower hoses by the application ('72 Duster w/318). Since some of the later A bodies came with a 26" radiator you ought to be able to find a correct hose. Unless the radiator has some different size outlet...

Some of the new thermostats are supposed to be "fail-safe", meaning that when they fail they stick open. If you have a t-stat like this maybe you have installed it incorrectly (upside down). It should be pointing "up". Just a thought. C
