    Fan shroud questions.

I made mine using this technique. I used plywood for the formers and wrapped it with wax paper to avoid the resin sticking to it. Made mine in one piece. IIRC, our fans do not hit the radiator dead center and I had to do some measurements to be sure the round former was attached in the right...

    Coolant recovery tank on fender

My wife's '08 Avenger has the tank sitting in that area. No idea what it looks like underneath or how it is mounted. Got a junk yard or pick n pull near you? You might just take a walk and look over the offerings. I found a tall rectangular tank that I mounted to a saddle on the frame rail...

    heater hose routing

Is there not a place on the top of the intake, probably has a plug in it? If there is, you could probably get a hose barb to replace the plug and do away with the radiator connection. I have seen a radiator like that, but it did not have the heater hose routed to it, it had some other type of...

Where to get AC hoses rebuilt?

Here are two pics of my '72 driver. The underdash unit and condenser are original to the car. Everything in between has been changed out. My A/C man simply made up the hoses. The ends are standard size fittings and are pressed onto the ends of the hoses. I helped him do it, it wasn't...

Are you trying to keep it 100% original or something? Any good automotive a/c shop should be able to make up some new hoses for you. C

You are running a 26" radiator? The new aluminum radiator would double, or nearly so, your cooling capacity of the radiator if the tubes are increased from 1/2" to 1". That would have to help. C

what to do for radiator hose

When I swapped out for an aftermarket radiator I was able to get the correct upper & lower hoses by the application ('72 Duster w/318). Since some of the later A bodies came with a 26" radiator you ought to be able to find a correct hose. Unless the radiator has some different size outlet...

    DIY small radiator Shroud

Good! I made one for myself last spring, made notes and took a bunch of pics. It just didn't make it to the site. If I can find my notes I will let you know of anything I might have done different. If you have done this type of thing before you shouldn't have any problems. If you haven't...

    over cooling

Some of the new thermostats are supposed to be "fail-safe", meaning that when they fail they stick open. If you have a t-stat like this maybe you have installed it incorrectly (upside down). It should be pointing "up". Just a thought. C

Magnum A/c adapted to '72 A/C components - Have you done it?

All of the above is good info. For the condenser, you just need to find one that will fit the area in front of the radiator and not interfere with the grill. The one from the truck may or may not work. A dryer is a dryer. Your biggest challenge here will be finding the evaporator core. I...
