    Manifold Repair

DD, I can’t advise you on the welding, but I cleaned mine really nice in a tall tray of cheap vinegar. I took a kitty litter cat box, got a few gallons of cheap vinegar at the grocery store, and let them soak for a couple of weeks. Occasionally, I would remove some vinegar and replenish with...

    Muffler question- flowmaster vs. ?

I inherited Super 44’s on my car and I hate them. Car guy neighbors think they sound great as I drive by. Inside the car, which is sound insulated, they’re loud, and there’s a nasty low bass drone at about 1200 rpm that’s hard to talk over. That’s with a dual exhaust crossover pipe, too. Kern...

    Stock Manifolds

If time is on your side and you're cheap (like me!) soak them in vinegar. I bought gallons of vinegar (.99 ea), poured it in a big tupperware container and threw the manifolds in there, turning them over every week. Sat in there 4-5 weeks and came out looking nice, even freed up the...

    What to do??? Any suggestions???

Here's what I did, not something you want to try if you want to turn them around quick: I soaked both my manifolds in cheap white vinegar --- REALLY! I got me one of those "store-your-christmas-crap" plastic containers, poured about two gallons of vinegar into it and threw in the manifolds one...
