    The head date code that @Bennoel 10 posted would be a solid date for a mid november and on 69 model year car. 09238 = Sept 23 1968 casting date. The E that you are searching for is not a date code, it's the core box used for the casting. Irrelevant to the actual casting date/production year.

    I have a nice 70-71 hood off a Dart/Demon in Indio, CA. You can use a 70-71 hood on a 72. The hinges on a 72 are slotted and the 70-71 have an adjustable/sliding deal in the hood.

    Just my 2 cents, buy 1.88 heads and have a fresh throat cut put on them to get your 2.02 valves. They flow better with the fresh throat cut than the OEM stuff.
