Break in cam with new Schumacher ceramic headers?

Yes indeed, it can be done right. It takes about 2 minutes of wrong to touch up those pretty headers to the ugly side! Header companies say that to avoid customers that don't do things correctly then wanting a redo because the customer messed up. My all time favorite was a kid I knew that...

Break in cam with new Schumacher ceramic headers?

Put 40-45* timing on it when breaking it in. If you run vacuum advance on an engine, it likely has more timing than that WITH a load driving down the highway. There is no load on the engine when breaking it in. Timing numbers can be increased without issue. Done a bunch of ceramic coated...

    Trailer/Winch Mount

I cross drilled the mount so it could go 90* to trailer and also fits in the truck receiver. Makes grabbing cars in odd places much easier to access The winch mount is an old hitch receiver. I cut the ball mount of of it.

    Trailer/Winch Mount

Here's what I did, when you have a winch disappear, you go a different route than to solid mount it in the open! Not sure what you guys are pulling up on trailer, M1 Abrams tanks? That dinky HF winch pulls up C bodies with 2 locked up tires on my trailer.

Is there any value to these old parts other than scrap value ???

Exactly, that one is the one I was speaking of. Looks like it may have a snubber on it.

Is there any value to these old parts other than scrap value ???

If you have any dana 60's, those sell pretty easy. Have to know what you have and go from there. Your audience matters and getting it in front of them. Selling one shot, expect no more than about scrap metal pricing.

JJ the Boss gets another A-body

If anyone thinks cheating on a flashlight is hard, arm drop is so much easier to cheat for "your" guy. Thinks signals in baseball for how the drop is going to happen.

    USPS…….HOW MUCH?

Print the label online. Most of the delivery services have that. Also they tend to provide discounted rates when printing online. One thing, If you lie about dimensions or weight, they will sometimes send you a supplemental bill for the difference. As long as you are close, usually not a...

    USPS…….HOW MUCH?

Disco'd and if you have one they will ship them, once stock is gone they are finished. I have about 10 of them left.

    USPS…….HOW MUCH?

Had plenty of things not get sold because of shipping cost. Unfortunate part of the biz/hobby. My favorite was a buyer thinking a complete floor pan from a duster should be able to ship cross country for $20. You try your best to accommodate... sometimes it just isn't possible.

    USPS…….HOW MUCH?

Indeed if the dimensions on the slip were not included in the first quote, that is why the price went up. Anything that has a single dimension over 12" drives the price up. Go to the USPS site and punch it into the calculator, there is a choice for your box and it has the 12" limitation for...

    UTG wins!

That truck ran like the dump trucks around here out of the hole. Tune up is MILES off. What did it run? A 2.10 or worse 60'. Jeez

    UTG wins!

Go half throttle to the 60' and then roll into it. MPH will be close to your best and ET will be a slug. Not watching it, don't care to support that nonsense with a click.

    IS THIS A LEGIT WEBSITE??

Chase lost a 20+ year customer today. Ship 800 dollars worth of stuff and it's my fault I didn't get it. Speedmaster can suck my balls as well, "we usually ship stuff that expensive requiring a signature..." except to me. Fuckers. Damn porch pirates. **** them both and the protection...

    340/360 Drivers Exhaust Manifold ID?

None of those numbers on that tti list are for anything 70 down in an a body. The first two aren't even A body numbers, they are B/E manifolds. Anything with a 38 beginning number is going to likely be later than 75 for fit. B drivers side don't usually play well on A body cars. Pictured in...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible Not Mine

Taking it out, no need to cut many spot welds to remove. There are easier, quicker ways to get them out. Same with a rusty floor pan. Zirc wheel and sawsall does wonders.

    Same old FABO

Those fancy computerized machines have presets in them that aren't exactly optimal for the older cars as well. Many techs, loosely using that term, only set things so the screen shows green, within tolerance and lock it down. They all prefer the toe and go set ups. Throw in the upper...

    Same old FABO

I've used pepsi cans, a couple of pieces of 1x1 steel lengths and a measuring tape. Same basic approach. Nothing fancy like the friends place with the computerized 4 wheel alignment stuff. I love the hillybilly cheap approach to getting stuff done. Same as the hillbilly timing tape thing. I...

    Same old FABO

In a lot of ways it is the same ol FABO. People picking on others because they aren't eloquent writers. Tiresome and constant. Well done. Plenty of intelligent people don't do well with writing. A guy that worked with my grandfather was similar to the gentleman that @Ironracer wrote of...

    Why 727's explode

You can do whatever you want with a manual VB if you are in second or third gear. First gear is the place where damage occurs. Most people running around on the street SB can use a 904 without issue. Put good clutches/bands/VB in them and go.
