Probably already has plenty in the quiver, give yourself a break. LOL

    71 dart disc brake swap

decent article but the spindle caveat is total BS. FMJ's work fine and in some ranges are superior to the "factory engineered" A body spindles.

Will a Dodge Aspen front disc set up fit a 67 Dart for conversion?

They should. Unless your car got some older upper 65-72 upper control arms on in.

A good reason to run braided lines on rear disk. Ouch!

Could a longer hose help solve the hose interference issue? Route it more front to rear coming out of the caliper and larger loop it to the frame bracket? Next time don't shorten the rear end so much you big dummy!!! :) Nice catch, that could have ended UGLY

73 Duster front drum to disk conversion

Grab a 7/8" wrench, check the upper ball joint nut if it's that size. If it is, you have big ball joint uppers. If it's in the 11/16" range, SBJ.

    Disc break conversion kits?

Yes, except the FMJ spindle warning. Find 73+ A body BBJ upper A Arms and a set of discs from a 73-76 A or an FMJ body car. They all work well if you are swapping to big bolt pattern wheels. Small bolt pattern, factory Kelsey-hayes or scarebird work.

    What are SBP parts worth?

Axles - 75, 100 if you are lucky. I've given them away to locals instead of packing and shipping. Shipping a pair of axles isn't cheap anymore.

    Aspen brakes on a Swinger

Looks a lot like this swapping spindles... You need the large ball joint upper control arms or Dr Diff sleeves and 73-76 A body lower ball joints. Simple swap. You won't swap the entire suspension without some serious modification

Aspen brakes on a 65 Dart?

They work, spindle is a bit taller. Need BBJ upper control arms off a 73-76 car.

    disc brakes

Factory style Kelsey Hayes or screbird conversion are two choices. B body stuff won't work, it's 4.5 BC.

    73+ Disc Bearing Seals

Drum brake seal? I bet you have a timken 6815 or equivalent instead of the 5121. The 6815 is smaller OD. There are two seals, one for drum, another for Disc. Which part number do you have?

    Revhendo's - brake line tip = AWESOME

I have a $5 bet with my friends Daughter that the car will be running by years end. I can't lose a bet to her! :) I hope to have the engine/trans mated and installed from the bottom this week. Get front suspension bolted up and the car on the ground rolling.

    Revhendo's - brake line tip = AWESOME

The three + year project continues... LOL Got some trans lines done and mounted a electrcal bus location. Drilled the snot out of the front bumper brackets. Made a ratchet gate plate for the stock A body console shifter. Got a bunch of stuff for finishing the trunk...

    Spindle Help

    FMJ spindles > POLL

This is why you should be ignored about the subject! In the face of pertinent testing data that is contrary to the insinuation, yes it's an insinuation, take your ball and go home. :) Have FMJ's on many A bodies, no issues.

    FMJ spindles > POLL

3 degrees... that's the change in ball joint inclination throughout the range. The guy that did alignment work for me laughed at the binding ball joint assertion. If the ball joint was that close to the physical limits, someone messed up badly when they were designed. The upper/ball joint is...

    FMJ spindles > POLL

You won't EVER get an answer to that until you speak with the engineer that decided it may be an issue. It could have been as simple as, these aren't the same height, 3/8" difference, they won't work. 10 years later we were putting them on the cars without issue. The binding issue has been...

9" drum to disc conversion confusion

http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/spindles.shtml All that stuff in the original mopar action article is pretty much debunked with actual testing results and data. I run nothing but FMJ spindles on my A body cars.
  25. C

    FMJ spindles > POLL

What's to settle? There are many that have FMJ's on their A body cars with no issues. I run only FMJ stuff anymore unless A body stuff falls in my lap. I'll take real live testing data over what someone wrote, with no supporting data, in the 90's as my reference...

    Need help with bearing install

What car did you buy bearing for? If you bought bearing for a 68-72 car, that's not going to work.

    Need help with bearing install

Can you pull that bearing out of the rotor in your bottom pic? Race and bearing installed backwards? Race goes in with the wider inner opening towards you. When you put it together, last thing you install on backside is the seal. Basic assembly is same for the front hubs on any of the A's
