Unless your putting your 440 in a motor home I'd lose the 600.

Minimum 750, preferably 850 Holley or quick fuel carb would be my choice.

Yes disconnect it. You would use it on a blower motor.

My buddy had one on a 350. Made 403 hp and worked real good. Electric choke worked good to.

That's what i did to run the fuel lines through the trans cross member in order to keep it all neat and tidy and still retain the strength around the torsion bar.I just changed to that same fuel lab pump. Much quieter than the old holley pump I was useing. Awesome looking job your doing.

That is a thing of beauty.

I ran mine from the fuel cell along the inside of the frame , through the torsion bar cross member(drilled and used grommets here). Kept it neat and easy to inspect.

You really should have a filter before and after the pump.

Unless that 360 is making more than 600 hp that 850 dp is to much carb.the problem is not to much gas so much as to much air. A 750 carb should be lots.Adding more gas is just a bandaid for to much air.1wild&crazyguy is right. Buy a book on holley carbs.
