Torqstorm.. let's see how it does

You should set up a fuel pressure gauge and position it for viewing while at top RPM, high gear. It's interesting that you leaned it out and things improved. On performance turbo cars, I believe that the spark plug gap needs to be decreased to prevent misfiring.

Torqstorm.. let's see how it does

Maybe time to look at your crankcase ventilation setup for some improvements also, for the new extra blow-by volume that is now being created by the boost. There's obviously pressure accumulating in there.

    Hey Turbo Guys

I don't think turbos are a good idea on a gas engine RV, especially without EFI. Too many variables (temp, load, throttle position) and how do you think it could handle a long steep grade? Would you just go ahead and keep it on boost for 5 or 10 minutes straight? That thing would be a...

She almost looks like a baby Cummins in there.

    Thinking about a turbo slant...

If you run a blow-thru setup, and want to run the stock mechanical fuel pump, you can run a small boost hose down to the atmosphere side of the pump's diaphragm, so it will "see" the boost and keep pumping accordingly. I like the blow-thru setups if it's not too much boost. If you want to run...

valve seals on exhaust side of turbo big block.

I don't see why you'd ever need seals on the exhaust side......there's more pressure in that exhaust port than normal and if the guides are good, I wouldn't think oil consumption would be a problem. I'd be paranoid of not enough lube there too.

    Anyone running a Paxton on a 340?

Do you know the cam manufacturer and part #? I think a narrow LSA is not the hot setup on these, like a 108 or 110.

    Anyone running a Paxton on a 340?

Hope that cam isn't too crazy on the overlap......they say your boost will "go out the exhaust pipe" if it is.

    Anyone running a Paxton on a 340?

Those aluminum heads can dissipate heat better and faster than iron though, and the thicker head gasket may ruin the quench between head/piston I'm thinking. Have you had any carb issues running your pressurized carb, Bill? (leakage etc.) I believe I heard Holley has specially made carbs...

    Anyone running a Paxton on a 340?

That's a cool setup! Very period-correct and should make that 340 flat-out fly. There's a company that does these Paxtons up to add 3 to 4 extra lbs of boost with a more modern impeller.

    Turbo 440 Dodge Truck

Wow....that stainless turbo exhaust is a work of art! Dang, I didn't even KNOW Eddy made an intake like that for big block Mopars! Hmmmmm.....and I had been dreaming about a six-pack! This changes everything. :burnout:

    Supercharge Or Turbo?

I say turbo, as long as you don't mind doing a bit more fabrication (intercooler piping etc) and the oil drainback provision to your oil pan. Turbos are somewhat cheap now and are pretty efficient.

    **Twin Turbo 67 Dart Project**

Just out of curiousity, did you use restrictor fittings on the turbos' oil feed lines? I heard they are supposed to have them.
