    The destructions aren't bad, just remember to use the springs and stop bushings to your advantage. I think the smallest stop bushing is 18 degrees so if you have 18 initial it'll stop mechanical advance at 36. Some small blocks will want more timing so you'll need smaller stop bushings. You can...

    Had this same issue on my Dart, it turned out to be operator error. One of my plug wires wasn't fully seated. Timing jumped around exactly as you said and once I went through all the nightmare scenarios I found one ignition wire that wasn't "clicked" tight

    Ammeter to Voltmeter...who does it?

    If you wish to have a stock look contact T-Bone on FBBO. He used the guts of a volt meter to replace the ammeter and it retains the stock gauge face.
