I thought I had basically the same question you had; namely, that since all A-engine headers should fit all non "W" type A-engine heads, why kind of non-standard heads does he have? The only difference was that I took him to mean that he thought (not me) older A-engine heads would not accept...

Actually, his statement: " ... with a 360 magnum,older one before they got smart and went back to more normal exhaust port opening ... " - Sounds to me more like he's saying that the older 360's have the non-standard port openings. Curious - 'W' heads? Even they have off the shelf headers...

For the info. I was not aware that TTI made exhausts that mated with standart iron exhaust manifolds, ~Bill

They are robust headers, and seem well made. But I would not put them back in my car.

Ah, I see. Okay thanks, but to tell you the truth, never having seen any up close I do not think I'd be able to recognise them. And if I were in need of getting something on the car in a timely fashion, waiting for a used pair to come up is probably not going to work for many of us.

Anybody know how long this stuff will last on hot exhaust manifolds? As for Bill H's paint ... never heard of that? Where would one look for it? ~Bill

From everything I've heard, it's next to impossible to actually get a set of these.

I was looking all around for these too. Posted question on AllPar a while ago. Long and short (no punn there ;o) ... ahem, anyway - no go on these unless you want to do some fab work ... least that's the skinny I got. ~Bill

Fit on a Vette is a world away from fit on a Dart/Duster.

I have these 'above the steering linkage' on my 340 car. In truth I would not recommend them - clearance is too close to too many things. Perform fine, but just too tight a fit.
