I believe the 1st gear is 3.27 in the TKO-500 that I have. I'm running 3.91 in my vert and it launches very hard. You're not in first gear for long.

Yeah I agree with the above. Avoid the Keisler stuff if possible. They do use the Wilwood stuff for the later a-bodies. The early a-body slave is a custom piece. Seems to work good but the geometry could be better. I have a hydraulic throwout from Keisler. I think it was from a Ford Explorer or...

Which brand and weight oil do you guys like in your A833 4-speed tranny? I need to refill mine and was curious because of all the new oils and synthetics that are out there now.

Crossmember is the exact same. You may want to get the 4 speed rubber mount. You can get a fiberglass one from Brewer's Performance but it says it is for 64-65. Not sure why it would not work on a 66. Ebay and swap meets are a good source as well. Someone else may chime in. Welcome to the site

I have the Keisler setup with the tremec. I've seen the design from Classic Mopar in person and it is 1,000 times better than Keisler's. I wish I had their crossmember instead of the grief I had to go through welding and cutting and fabricating my crossmember to fit. Stick with their design...

yep got one for my 340 with tremec 5-speed. no problems, but have not driven it much yet.

Glad I don't have the diaphram type longgone. That takes a load off.

Don, Here's the clutch/pressure plate that came with the Keisler setup. I believe this style clutch is common for GM. Came with a GM throwout bearing. Cheers -dave

Here's a picture of the Lakewood and 340. Not installed in the car yet but getting closer to the full mock up with my exhaust and starter. Will have the headers next week and hopefully will have time to put them on during the weekend.

I had to buy a special mini-starter from TTI. It is made by Powermaster and was specially designed for the early A-body and the Tti exhaust system. No doubt. I will mock up the whole system before placing it in my car just to see if I am going to have issues. I plan on sending the pictures...

i have had the Keisler unit sitting in my garage for almost a year now. Working on getting a rottiserie built to do the body work and paint. Looks like we are in the same boat. I would go ahead and get the hydraulic clutch setup and the Lakewood Bellhousing. It's bitching. Pretty red too...
