Cool thanks. There's a nice lookin flee-bay e-body console shifter I been thinking about bidding on. It's kinda short but it's the slip in style that will fit my shifter box. just worried it might hit the dash or be too short.

Anybody running a pistol grip shifter in their a-body ? Any sugestions on wich ones will work with a body bucket seats ? Thanks!

Put the trans and the shifter in make sure the rods clear and that the shifter is close to centered in the hole . Easier to fix now than later. That's my advise :oops:

Thanks for the 833 link. I guess I used to own a hemi bell housing and assumed it was the standard 383-440 bh... I probably gave that thing away for next to nothing lol . The only other question I have is about the z bar.Can I use the small block one? Or is there a different one for big block...

I used to have a 440 bell housing and it had a larger input hole than my small block housing. Maybe a 383 bell has a the smaller hole?

Is it possible to get an 833 out of a 340 to fit in a big block bell housing?
