Can I drill an socket hole in an axel

I didn't know the hole is now optional, when I got these there was no option for the hole... I can't see why I couldn't drill it. But it would be good to hear if anyone has ever done it.

Can I drill an socket hole in an axel

The Wilwood is not the drag set... These have the intern drum parking brake which makes everything really tight to get into.

Can I drill an socket hole in an axel

I have a set of axels with no socket hole in them. Well I'm trying to install my new Wilwood setup and it's so tight I can get the nuts on since The axels don't have a socket hole. Can I drill one in myself? Any thoughts.

    Gasket or No Gasket?

I am putting together (2) 8.75 rear ends in the coming few days and I am debating whether or not to use the gasket under the center section on them. The last one I did years ago in my drag car we did not use it. We simple used Permatex Black and no gasket…. What is everyone doing nowadays...

    Console mounted Cheetah?

I did in my demon street strip car and loved it. It put it at the perfect height and distance when strapped into the car for racing or when just cruising around. It worked great. Go for it! Its actually one of the few things I saved out the car for a future build.

Shipping a Complete 8 3/4" Rear Axle Assembly

Freight will cost roughly $.70 - $1.00 per pound depending on the services requested for regular LTL freight. This is a safe estimate, add more for residential pick up / delivery. Add more for any other services you may want... But on a 4x6 pallet is the way to go.

    Whats this trans worth?

I'm looking at Viper Gen 3 engine and trans combo, but I do not need the transmission which is a T56 tranny. So I am thinking of deducting a price for the trans if they seller would just keep it. If not as to what i could possibly sell it for since I won't need it at all.

    Hooking up a Cheetah shifter

I am trying to figure out how to hook up a Cheetah shifter to my 727 transmission. I have at the shifter bolted to the floor and the cable run through the floor already. What I really need is either a diagram, description, or better yet a picture of how to bolt the cable to the lever on...

    automatic advantages

I don't know crackedback... driving around with a 727 or 904 with a full manual valve body is pretty hard to beat on the fun factor as well... and you don't have to worry about a clutch in the traffic and on those pesky hills.... I raced my street strip Demon with a 904 manual valve body and it...

    904 Manual Body for Street

I ran one in my Demon and loved it. Built 340, manual valve body 904, and 456 spool and it was street driven 95% of the time. Great fun car on the road. I was using a Cheetah shifter. Once you get it installed and final adjusted to your liking its a ton of fun... Once you drive it a couple...

    741 Center Section question?

"As far as the SG going away in 2-3 trips to the track, they were likely pretty worn before you got there" ---- This didn't surprise me at all, that's what I call racing on a budget. "Most a-bodies, even into the 70's came with 741's from the factory. It was Mopars way of using up old housing...

    741 Center Section question?

I have heard the same thing over the years. And mine held up great behind a 400HP 340 running low 12's / high 11's for years as well. I am looking at a 500+ HP 416 stroker motor for a protouring Demon and wondering if a 741 391 SG would hold up in rear? Car may go down a track a couple...

    741 Center Section question?

I have been noticing that you never seem to see any 489 or 742 center sections in the 3.91 suregrips for sale anymore. I have been looking for a while (which is fine) but it posses the question as to why??? Other than the obvious being that is is like the 3.55's being it is a very desirable...
