    Factory Rear Sway Bar

turn both of those plates 90 degrees in the direction of the red arrow. those plates should be sandwiched between the leaf springs and the spring perches on your rear end. The springs will run like my horrid scribble in blue. Finally, one of your axle u-bolts goes through the two holes marked...

Rear Leaf Spring mod with Durango Springs

^^^ x2 There's no reason it wouldn't. Just get some springs and try it. Worst comes to worst, you can put the old ones back on. Thanks y'all for the support, this mod has worked great for me. The car settled down a bit from where you see it in the pic, but it still has a nice rake to it...

Belair front end on a Duster?

You can put the front end out of a mack truck in a duster if you want to. It's just going to be an unreasonable amount of fabrication. I suspect this'll be a nightmare to get in. You'll have to custom engineer all your own motor mounts, your steering linkage, how you'll actually position it...

Power steering from 73 Duster into 69 Dart?

To the best of my knowledge, the column will bolt up just fine. You only start running into problems when you start mixing and matching suspension parts and linkages. I had a few headaches fighting with a '75 steering box and suspension and a '67 k-member, but I still got it to work.

Rear Leaf Spring mod with Durango Springs

Well first, even if you wanted to do this swap you'd need different u-bolts than I used for an 8 3/4, I doubt an 8 3/4 has 2 3/8 axletubes. For a jeep I don't know. The thing that will make the biggest difference, is if the factory springs have a front or rear bias like the Durango leaves do...

Rear Leaf Spring mod with Durango Springs

Well alrighty, It's been a while since I posted about any work on the dartness, and I've been finagling with this and that, fighting with carburetors, putting in new shocks. But the one thing this car's needed since I got it, has been stiffer springs. It loves to bottom out over everything...

Odd ladder/slapper bar things. (what are they called?)

Yeah, they're about like slapper bars that hit the body rather than the end of the spring. They're not backwards though, The axle'll tend to push them up into the body. The axle will tend to twist in a direction opposite the way the wheels turn.

    Poly Bushings issues

That makes a whole lotta sense, especially since the rubber pivot has that ball instead of a cylindrical stop. The ball probably fits into a socket in the rubber bushing, but when you put a poly bushing on it, there is no socket, and all the force tries to wedge the poly bushing over the ball...

Odd ladder/slapper bar things. (what are they called?)

Alrighty, I have a friend who's dad used to race 1/8 and 1/4 mile, and when he died, my friend inherited a few of his old cars. Over the years I've gotten to poke around underneath a few of them, and I noticed that a couple have what seems like an ingenious and simple rear suspension setup...

I'm definitely following this, I pulled a 1" solid sway bar out of a D350 and I've not gotten around to trying it out in the dartness, It'll fit, just barely though. tell us how it rides!
