Looking for some help with fitting USDM armrests on my (Australian) VG Valiant hardtop. Problem 1 : I bought some repro armrests to suit a 1968+ Dodge Dart, and the mounting holes line up fine but the clip in the body doesn't line up with the screw that runs diagonally from under the armrest...

Does anybody have ready access to a Dart without the carpet / console fitted ? My Dart (Valiant) was a column-shift auto that the previous owner converted to floor shift when he changed from the 6 to V8. There is a hole on the left side that he has cut where the neutral safety switch cable, etc...
