    The trunk lid pictured is a friend of mines 72 Duster340 of which he purchased in 1979 from the original owner. It was not replaced in the 7 years of his ownership and of course still had the original B5 blue paint. The SPD of the vehicle is 820 being one of the last 72 Duster340 cars to roll...

    How many of you have an original 72 Duster340 with the factory deck lid spoiler cutouts? Please provide your vehicles SPD has shown on the fender tag. The deck lid below has an SPD of 820. One of the last built.

    The U would be, built to U.S. specifications...More than likely the N28 is N23, electronic ignition...are you sure it's an 8?? There is no code N28 for 1972....

    Pop the rod out of the plastic clip then push the flat metal u-shaped clip away from the lock cylinder...at least that's what I remember

    Now then.....if you read their paragraph explaining how the 72 340 callout was originally placed they say 1/4" below the pinstripe above it.....clearly in my pic above of the ALL ORIGINAL 72 340 Duster this is not the case....oh well..at least I can match up my drivers side with the passenger...

    You would think after all this time of individuals restoring these cars a vendor some where in the world would have the CORRECT callout for a 72 Duster!! As far as Year One is concerned....they need to do some home work.....period.

    Anyone know who is producing the larger 4" 340 call out decal for the 72 Duster? And don't tell me Phoenix Graphics or Year One because they do not seem to know what is correct for 72.....The below pic is from an original owner 72 340 Duster with 19,000 miles...This is THE correct...
