    Run the Champs . I use em in all S.B.'s , even low comp 318's . Then after some hard use , read 'em , they will tell you what the engine needs

    Another 302 head question

    Regauding smog port holes , I took tapered steel pins , slathered them w/ JB weld , and pounded them in. After the epoxie set, I ground them flush. It may sound crude, but that was 4 years ago, and I still drive it daily.

    Im almost at the point of getting a honda!

    I had a simular problem with my Dart, turned out to be the condenser on the coil. Also make sure you have good grounds on all ingniton components. And a car will run if the coil is hooked up wrong , but not very well.

    Off by a tooth?

    depnding on the quality of the cam, & timing gears, the centerline of the cam can be off. I've seen off brand peices that had the cam timing off by 4+ degrees. That's why you should always degree your cam, plus you can't really plan any changes if your not sure where you start at.
