I all comes down to your overall goal. If you just wanted drive ability and cruise to the Sonic then a drop on TB is the way to go. Most guys have have no interest in timing contol, boost retard....etc. just hit the key and ride

No progress on it, sorry. Just been driving and enjoying it. I’ve changed focus to my Turbo truck since I sold the entire drivetrain and FiTech out of it . It’s going to late model hemi and if I can’t get the donor harness to work out, it’s getting the megasquirt 2. I will keep ya informed. If I...

    FiTech EFI system

I believe the OEs do it for getting the engine and catalyst up to proper temp quicker and able to go into closed loop. My FITech idles up slightly maybe 100-200 over target when first started. Once in gear it maintains the AFRs and idles normally.

I went with the FITech 600pa. I was on the fence until I found FITech used local for a great price. I have found more info/advice on the FITech than the Holley. Lots of FITech users on here. I have had great results far.

    Upgrading to 3/8 fuel line

Good point, I’m running an electric pump so I have 3/8 fittings. Most cars ive seen with the 3/8 line have 5/16 to the carb Some of the mechanical hp pumps come 3/8 and others have removable fittings, in which case you would size the fittings accordingly.

    Upgrading to 3/8 fuel line

If the lines need replacing (kinked, rusted thru, bent ) then upgrade to 3/8. If they are fine then stick with 5/16 and use the money saved somewhere else in the build. Just my opinion.

That’s a I phone autocorrect!!!! Hate it when it substitutes words! Either that or my fingers hit the wrong key. Should read “Wideband”

    wideband problem

Recalibrate the sensor. My Innovate wife and needs to go thru a calibration every now and again. I’m not sure about an autometer but I imagine it would be the same concept.

    FiTech EFI system

This is the -6 and -8 line I use on my duster and the truck. It’s from a hydraulic shop and I use a combination of AN and pushlock fittings. Stuff is cheap. Like $1.85 foot

    Carb Choice (New 318)

Holley 600 FTW! Super easy to work on and all major parts stores carry rebuild kits. Can usually find dirt cheap on the Craigslist.

    Fuel line return

I drilled a hole on the tank and added a bulkhead -6 AN fitting with a 6” piece of aluminum tubing down in the tank. Works great.
